You could say I have OCD when it comes to my writing career. I've written all kinds of material in a various forms of media, from science fiction novels to cartoons to nonfiction articles to men's self-care books. I've written short stories, televisions scripts, thousands of critiques on student writing, and countless grocery lists, ha ha. All to say that I always wanted to write young adult books in the vein of the I Am Number Four and Percy Jackson series. I worked with a fantastic group of beta readers (my target audience), and I had a wonderful time writing this trilogy about a kid who's transported to another world that was mostly destroyed by his own father. They're written in the first person from Doc's point of view, and the prose is breezy and glib. If you want an action-packed story with some cool science fiction concepts, I suggest you give these a read!
